Following exactly one year of discussions between the project developer and Jurchen Technology, the development of the Tumuruu project in Queensland, Australia is progressing with the Development Approval (DA) application outcome expected in Q3 2023, the grid connection application in process and the project is expected to reach NTP during Q3 2024.
The low profile of the PEG and its shallow foundations without the need for concrete, is critical for the landowners and reduces impact across stakeholders.
PEG has allowed a smaller project footprint to reach the required DC size for a commercially viable project. This is critical for projects in an urban area that feeds into high-demand power lines.
The low CAPEX of the PEG, due to the systems’ simple design with a low quantity of steel, its low CO2 emission, and the simple and quick installation process without the need for skilled labour and heavy machinery, resulted in a high-quality project design with competitive financial results.
Jurchen Technology is excited to continue working on this project with the project developer and its future investment and EPC partners, until the successful completion of the project.
More information about this project is available on the project website.
The PEG as the preferred solution for this project is mentioned on the project website and in this LinkedIn post published by the project developer.
